7IM origins
7IM was founded in 2002 by a team of escapees from the world of big corporate finance who wanted to start the kind of organisation they'd like to invest with themselves.
Caledonia Investments has sold its majority stake in wealth management firm 7IM to the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan for about £255mn. Rumours about 7IM's sale began floating around back in 2022, when it was rumoured Brooks Macdonald would be a buyer.
